Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri Park, also known as Imjingak Park, is a large park and meeting spot near the DMZ. Most tours will stop here before heading into the DMZ itself, and there's lots to see and do. From the Freedom Bridge and Peace Bell to the ribbon tied on fences to loved ones that were separated, to a souvenir shop that sell North Korean money and beer and a train car that was shot up, and even a small amusement park - there's really a little bit of everything. You can visit this area on your own if you have a car, however I recommend going with a tour group.
