Saddle Trailhead is a popular starting point for reaching Grewingk Glacier. This trail is steep at first, but continues to level out the closer you get to the Glacier. At about 2 miles each way, most of the 400 foot incline is towards the beginning - and to get to the trailhead you'll either need to take a water taxi from Homer or kayak over from Halibut Cove. With a beautiful glacier lake in front of the glacier, there's plenty of icebergs to enjoy and it's the perfect spot to have a picnic! In the winter, you can also ice skate on the frozen lake!
