Chilkoot Lake State Recreation Site is known for its breathtaking scenery and outdoor activities, like fishing and bear watching in the summer. The recreation area also features campgrounds, picnic areas, and hiking trails. If you visit in the Summer, you'll often find it crowded and full, so I recommend visiting in the Fall when it's not so busy. The trade off is, seeing a bear is much more common in the summer during the Salmon runs.
