Þingvallakirkja is a beautiful church located in Thingvellir National Park in Iceland. The present building was built in 1859 but, according to the sagas, a church has stood there since 1017. It is often closed but visitors can take free guided tours with the park ranger at 10:00. The building next to it was built as a residence for the local priest, but it is now used as a state residence for particular events.
