Vatnsfjörður Church was built in the beginning of the 20th century but boasts a variety of artifacts from past ages. Among them are the Altarpiece depicting the ascension and the year 1860, the baptismal font donated to the church in 1957, and the crucifix made by Rev. Hjalti Thorsteinsson. The surrounding landscape makes it a perfect photo spot.
