Staðarborg is a fun and easy adventure destination located in Reykjanes Geopark. Here, visitors can explore the remains of an isolated sheep shelter which is estimated to be at least hundreds of years old. It's made with flat lava rocks and stands at 2 meters tall. Along with Staðarborg, Vigdísarvellir and Vogar í Höfnum are both easy hikes through open grassy fields and old explorer outposts. Those who visit this area can also take a look back into history and learn about the 15th century German trading post in Iceland known as Thorshofn. All three destinations are perfect for a leisurely afternoon outdoors, so come explore the beauty of the Reykjanes peninsula!
