Located in the district of Laugardalur in Reykjavík, the Grasagardur Botanic Park is a fun and educational botanic garden. Established in 1961 to celebrate the city’s 175th anniversary, it spans over 5 hectares and contains more than 5,000 plant species spread out across 8 different collections. Visitors can enjoy exploring and learning about these collections or observe the lush bird life that now inhabits the park, particular to the grey geese that frequent the pond where once seeds were sown.
