Saltverk is the place where the hot springwater of Iceland and the cold, salty water of the ocean are combined to produce edible salt. Located on a beautiful peninsula, this small factory uses Icelandic sea water harvested locally to produce salt with a tecnique dating back to the 18th century. Saltverk offers a variety of flavors, from regular flaky sea salt to Birch smoked salt and Arctic Thyme salt. The salt adds significant flavor and texture to dishes, making them stand out at gourmet restaurants around the world.
