🥙 La Caravana: The "Real Deal" Shawarma

Forget those questionable 3 AM kebab shops where the meat spins in a sad, greasy circle. La Caravana in Gràcia is the Syrian grandmother of street food—authentic, comforting, and absolutely unpretentious. The vibe is "cozy" (read: tiny), so you will likely be bumping elbows with your neighbor, but it’s worth it.

Run by two Syrian brothers who treat every pita like a holy scripture, this place serves what many locals argue is the best shawarma in the city. The meat is marinated to perfection, not drowned in mystery sauce.

My Tip: Get the Shawarma de Cordero (lamb) or the Baklava for dessert, which is sticky, sweet, and cheaper than a bottle of water at a tourist trap. Also, their hummus will ruin supermarket hummus for you forever. Sorry about that.
