🥘 La Nansa: The "Old Money" Seafood Spot

If you want to know what Sitges tasted like before it became a party capital, you come here. Tucked away on a quiet side street (away from the chaos of the promenade), La Nansa feels like the dining room of a wealthy Catalan grandmother who owns a boat. It’s been family-run since 1963, the walls are covered in nautical history, and the vibe is unapologetically traditional.

The food is serious business here. We are talking about white tablecloths, impeccable service, and seafood that was likely swimming earlier that morning. It’s elegant without being stiff, which is a hard balance to strike.

My Tip: Do not just order a standard paella. You are here for the Arroz a la Sitgetana (Sitges-style rice). It’s a local legend made with ribs, sausage, and seafood—a surf-and-turf masterpiece that puts regular paella to shame. (Note: You usually need a minimum of 2 people for rice dishes, so bring a friend or a very hungry date).
