San Andreas Trail and Nature Trail Loop in Sanborn County Park is a popular 1.8-mile loop that takes about 47 minutes to complete. This soft adventure trail winds through a shady redwood and oak forest, crossing Aubrey Creek and passing by Walden Pond. Keep an eye out for newts in the ponds and creeks during winter! The trail offers glimpses of beautiful wildflowers and stunning views, making it a great spot for birding, camping, and hiking. Don't forget to check out the cool hollowed-out stump and enjoy a picnic at one of the many tables scattered along the route.

Disclaimer: There is a fair amount of poison oak on these trails, so make sure to wear high socks and pants.

Pet-friendly: Yes and no - there are portions of this trail that allow dogs, and portions that do not. Our advice, leave the pups at home for this one.
