Lago Welsperg is a total hidden gem. It’s a small, serene lake tucked away in the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino Nature Park, and honestly It feels like a scene straight out of a storybook. The lake itself is surrounded by dreamy forest, wildflowers in the warmer months, and the most gorgeous mountain views.

There’s an easy little walking path that loops around it, it’s flat, peaceful, and perfect for a slow stroll. It’s also right by Villa Welsperg, a lovely old building that once belonged to a noble family and now acts as a nature center. It’s not flashy or crowded, just calm, beautiful, and a great spot to slow down, and take in the natural beauty of the Dolomites. 🚗 Drive in the direction of Fiera di Primiero in Trentino. From there, take the road towards Passo Cereda. After a few hairpin bends, you'll see a sign for Val Canali on your left, follow that.​ The road winds gently through the valley, and you'll soon reach a parking area near the lake. It's a short walk from the car park to the lake's edge, making it easily accessible for a leisurely visit. ​

🥾For those who enjoy hiking, there's a scenic trail from Tonadico to Lago Welsperg. Starting at the Church of San Vittore, the path takes you through lush forests and past Castel Pietra, offering a peaceful 1.5-hour walk to the lake.
