Mount Kazbek is a dormant stratovolcano located in Georgia, standing at 5,054 meters above sea level. It's the highest mountain in Eastern Georgia and the third-highest peak in the country. Legend has it that the mountain is associated with Amirani, the Georgian version of Prometheus. The area around Mount Kazbek is a designated nature reserve, boasting beech forests, subalpine forests, and alpine meadows. Its summit has a polar ice cap climate, making it a challenging yet fascinating destination for adventurers and nature enthusiasts alike.
