Ananuri is a castle complex located in Dusheti, Georgia, along the Aragvi River. It served as the stronghold of the eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi from the 13th century. The site witnessed battles and revolts, with a legend about a woman named Ana who chose death over revealing a secret tunnel during a siege. The complex includes two churches, the Church of the Virgin and the Church of the Mother of God, showcasing rich architectural and historical significance.
