KTEL Kifisou, also known as Athens Kifisou Bus Station, is the city’s largest intercity bus terminal, serving routes to destinations across Greece, including Nafplio, Patras, Kalamata, and many Peloponnesian towns. Located about 5 km northwest of central Athens, it’s a key hub for travelers taking Athens day trips or longer journeys by coach.

The station offers ticket counters, waiting lounges, small shops, and snack bars, with clear signage in Greek and English. Though functional rather than luxurious, it’s easy to navigate if you arrive 20–30 minutes before departure. Taxis and city buses connect Kifisou to central Athens and the Kifissos metro station (Line 1), making access straightforward even without a car.

👉 Buy bus tickets in advance during weekends or holidays. Popular routes like Nafplio can sell out quickly.
