Haven or Haφen Coffee is a favorite book cafe Athens spot. Known for its excellent specialty coffee and creative vibe, it’s a natural stop for readers who want a calm corner in the middle of Exarchia’s energy.

The focus here is third-wave coffee prepared with care, from espresso and flat whites to filter brews. Prices usually start around €3–4 for espresso drinks, with specialty options a little higher. Pastries and light snacks are available as well.

You’ll find Haφen Coffee at Kallidromiou 35, Exarchia, about ten minutes on foot from Omonia or Panepistimio metro stations. It’s tucked along a tree-lined street that also hosts the weekly Exarchia street market, making it easy to combine with bookstore visits in the area.

👉 Bring your own book or pick one up from a nearby Athens bookshop and settle in with a cappuccino. Arrive before lunchtime to claim a window seat for quiet reading.
