Directions

The Jardin Exotique d’Èze sits at the very summit of the medieval village of Èze, occupying the site of the former 14th-century castle ruins that once guarded this dramatic hilltop settlement.

The garden is famous for its collection of succulents, cacti, and Mediterranean plants, carefully arranged along terraces carved into the rocky hillside. As you walk through the garden paths, sculptures and botanical displays appear against the backdrop of the sea.

The real highlight is the extraordinary panoramic view. From this vantage point, more than 400 metres above the Mediterranean Sea, visitors can see across the coastline toward Cap Ferrat, Nice, and sometimes even Corsica on exceptionally clear days.

Because the garden sits at the highest point of the village, it is also one of the best places on the French Riviera to appreciate how dramatically Èze rises above the sea.

👉 Local tip: Visit late in the afternoon when the sunlight turns the coastline golden. The views from the garden terraces are some of the most photogenic on the entire Riviera.
