Plage de la Garoupe is one of the most famous beaches on Cap d’Antibes, set in a beautiful inlet along the eastern side of the peninsula. Although the Riviera coastline is often rocky, this beach offers a rare stretch of soft sand and calm turquoise water, making it especially popular during the summer months.
The beach sits in a sheltered bay surrounded by pine trees and Mediterranean vegetation, creating a classic Riviera setting. From here you can enjoy views across the sea toward the Alpes-Maritimes coastline and the Italian Riviera on clear days.
Part of the beach is public, while other sections are occupied by private beach clubs with restaurants and cafés, where visitors can relax with a drink or lunch by the water.
Plage de la Garoupe is considered one of the most picturesque beaches around Antibes, but its beauty also makes it very popular, particularly in July and August.
👉 Local tip: Arrive early in the morning to enjoy the calmest water and avoid the crowds. The eastern coastal path nearby also offers beautiful views over the bay.
