The Monastery of Agios Nektarios, also known as the Monastery of the Holy Trinity, is one of the largest monasteries in Greece and a major pilgrimage site for Orthodox Christians. Built in the early 20th century in honor of Saint Nektarios, one of the most venerated modern saints, it draws thousands of visitors seeking spiritual reflection or simply to admire its impressive architecture.

The vast complex includes the grand cathedral with its striking domes, smaller chapels, and the tomb of Saint Nektarios himself. Pilgrims often light candles or leave written prayers, while visitors can enjoy the peaceful courtyards and sweeping views of the surrounding hills. Modest dress is required (shoulders and knees covered).

👉 Visit in the morning for a quieter experience. Later in the day, especially during weekends or feast periods, it can get crowded with tour groups and pilgrims.
