Plage de La Ponche

Directions

Right in the old town, this small beach feels surprisingly quiet compared to the rest of Saint-Tropez. It’s more about atmosphere than swimming.

Plage de la Ponche, along with nearby Plage de la Fontanette, sits tucked between the buildings of the historic village. The setting is intimate, with views over a small bay just steps from the port, yet slightly removed from the main crowds.

The beach itself is a mix of small pebbles and sand, comfortable enough to sit or lie down with a towel. It’s not ideal for swimming due to boat traffic nearby, but it works perfectly for a break, a short pause in the shade, or simply enjoying the setting.

It’s also the starting point for the sentier du littoral, making it a natural stop before or after a coastal walk.

👉 Local Tip: Come early morning with a coffee or late afternoon with a book. This is one of the few places in Saint-Tropez where you can slow down without the usual noise.
