Port Lympia is the historic harbour of Nice, located at the eastern edge of the city between the Old Town and Mont Boron. Dug in the 18th century, the port was originally intended to serve as a major commercial harbour. It never developed into a large trading port, however, which has allowed it to retain a more relaxed and charming atmosphere than many Mediterranean city harbours.

Today, the port is lined with elegant Italianate buildings painted in warm Riviera colours, creating one of the most photogenic waterfront scenes in Nice. The harbour itself is filled with pleasure boats, sailing yachts, and visiting cruise ships, while cafés and restaurants along the quays provide lively terraces overlooking the water.

Because it sits slightly away from the busiest tourist areas, Port Lympia offers a quieter place to stroll and enjoy views of the harbour, especially in the evening when the lights reflect across the water.
