La Tête de Chien above La Turbie is one of the most spectacular viewpoints on the Côte d’Azur. From the top, Monaco sits directly below you, with a sweeping view over the coastline and the Mediterranean.
What makes this spot especially appealing is how accessible it is. You can either take a more demanding hiking route for a proper climb, or choose an easier approach starting from La Turbie, which makes it suitable for a wider range of travelers.
At the summit, the view is immediate and striking. The height gives a real sense of scale, with Monaco, Cap d’Ail, and the coastline stretching out below. It’s one of the best places to understand the geography of this part of the Riviera.
Despite its popularity, the area is large enough to find quieter corners if you move away from the main viewpoints.
👉 Local Tip: Go late in the day for softer light over Monaco. Sunset transforms the view, but even just before it, the contrast between sea and mountains is at its best.
