Marché Provençal in Antibes is where locals actually shop. Not a staged version of Provence, but the real thing, loud, busy, and full of life.

Set in the heart of the Old Town, the market spreads across a covered hall and surrounding streets, filled with stalls selling fresh produce, seafood, cheeses, olives, herbs, and regional specialties. You’ll also spot handmade soaps, ceramics, and small souvenirs, but food is the main event.

The atmosphere carries the experience. Vendors call out prices, regulars chat, and everything smells like herbs, citrus, and grilled socca.

Go early if you want the best selection and fewer crowds. By midday, it gets busy, and the best items disappear fast. Later in the day, the pace slows, and you might get better deals.

This is also one of the easiest places to try local food without committing to a full restaurant. Grab a socca, a pan bagnat, or just a few things for a beach picnic.
