The Jean Cocteau Museum - Séverin Wunderman Collection, located in Menton, is dedicated to one of France’s most versatile 20th-century artists. It houses an extensive collection of drawings, films, photographs, and works on paper, largely assembled by collector Séverin Wunderman, offering a deep look into Cocteau’s creative world.

Designed by architect Rudy Ricciotti, the museum stands out with its dramatic façade inspired by Cocteau’s artistic universe. Inside, the collection spans decades of work, from early avant-garde pieces to material linked to his films and the famous Orphic Trilogy.

The main museum building has faced closures in recent years. Parts of the collection are currently displayed at the nearby Bastion Museum, a 17th-century fort overlooking the harbor, originally conceived by Cocteau himself as a space for his work.
