Port Hercule

Superyachts lined up beneath the Prince’s Palace, cruise ships docking in the heart of the city, and a harbor carved into a natural deep bay. This is where Monaco’s maritime identity is on full display.

Port Hercule, located in the La Condamine district of Monaco, is one of the few deep-water ports on the Côte d’Azur and has been used since Greek and Roman times. Today, it is the principality’s main marina, capable of hosting everything from small boats to large cruise ships and mega-yachts.

The port sits between Monaco-Ville (the Rock) and Monte-Carlo, making it one of the most central and visually striking areas in Monaco. Major engineering projects, including a semi-floating breakwater, have transformed it into a highly protected and modern harbor.

It’s also one of the main event locations in Monaco. The harbor becomes part of the track during the Monaco Grand Prix, and throughout the year, it hosts yachting events, exhibitions, and waterfront activities.

👉 Local Tip: Walk the full loop around the port instead of stopping at one side. Each angle gives a different view, from luxury yachts to the palace above.
