There was a time when this spot felt like a secret shared quietly between locals. A short walk would lead you to a vivid turquoise pool, fed by a refreshing waterfall, where the water stayed cool even in peak summer.

La Chute du Grand Baou, once known for its clear basin and inviting swimming conditions, was located on private land and carefully maintained by the owner, who welcomed visitors for a small contribution. The setting, with water flowing into a natural pool, made it a favorite for those looking to escape crowded swimming spots.

Since the passing of the owner in 2024, the site is now closed indefinitely. Access is no longer permitted, and the waterfall remains on private property.

While you can no longer visit, it remains a good example of how many beautiful places in the region are fragile and depend on respectful access.
