Bandol is a lively seaside resort on the Var coast between Toulon and Sanary-sur-Mer, known for its sunny promenade, sandy beaches, and large marina filled with sailboats and yachts. The town sits in a sheltered bay surrounded by gentle hills, creating the perfect conditions for vineyards that have produced Bandol wines for more than two thousand years.

Today, Bandol remains one of the most famous wine appellations in Provence, especially known for its powerful reds and elegant rosé wines made from Mourvèdre grapes. Wine lovers can easily explore nearby vineyards or enjoy tastings in town.

The waterfront is the heart of Bandol. Visitors walk along the palm-lined promenade, relax at seaside cafés, or watch fishing boats and yachts returning to the harbor. Beaches such as Plage de Renécros offer calm waters for swimming, while nearby coastal paths provide beautiful Mediterranean views.

Bandol is also a great base for exploring the surrounding coast, including Sanary-sur-Mer, the Calanques near Cassis, and the vineyards of western Var.
