Plage de la Fontanette
Beach
Directions

Plage de la Fontanette is a small and discreet beach located just east of the historic La Ponche district in Saint-Tropez. While it may not be as dramatic as the famous beaches further along the peninsula, its biggest advantage is location.

This is one of the very few beaches within easy walking distance of the old town, making it perfect for a quick swim during a day spent exploring Saint-Tropez.

The beach is small and mostly pebbled with clear water, offering a refreshing break from the busy streets nearby. Because of its central location, it attracts locals and visitors looking for a short midday swim without leaving the town.

If you’re wandering through the narrow streets of La Ponche, it’s only a short walk to reach the water and enjoy a peaceful moment by the Mediterranean.

👉 Local tip: Bring water shoes. The beach is mostly pebbles, but the water is usually very clear and calm.
