Message from The Wanderbug

The equestrian statue of Joan of Arc in Paris is a monumental bronze sculpture created by French sculptor Paul Dubois. It depicts Joan of Arc as both a warrior and a divinely inspired visionary. The statue was originally presented at the Salon in 1889 and there are four casts of it in public settings, including in front of Saint-Augustin Church in Paris. The statue captures the spirit and courage of Joan of Arc, making it a powerful and iconic representation of this historical figure.
