The Otaru Music Box Museum is pure nostalgia in the best way. Housed in a beautiful historic building, it’s filled wall-to-wall with thousands of music boxes. From delicate vintage styles to cute, modern designs, all chiming away with enchanting melodies. Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s absolutely worth popping in just to soak up the atmosphere.

Don’t miss the famous Otaru Steam Clock just outside the entrance. Every fifteen minutes it puts on a charming musical performance, adding an extra sprinkle of magic to this truly iconic Otaru stop.
