A truly unique spiritual and architectural experience in Sapporo. Hidden within a perfectly sculpted hill, the giant Buddha slowly reveals itself as you walk through the tunnel. Designed by Tadao Ando, the space is calm, minimalist, and quietly powerful. In summer, the hill is covered in lavender; in winter, it’s wrapped in snow, giving it a completely different mood.
