Just a short walk from Yasaka Pagoda, Kodai-ji Temple is a serene spot featuring beautifully landscaped Zen gardens, elegant temple buildings, and a peaceful bamboo forest, often much quieter than Arashiyama’s. A perfect escape from the crowds of Gion and one of Kyoto's most famous temples.
