Whats here?
A classic coastal caravan park nestled beside Duke of Orleans Bay near Wharton, about an hour east of Esperance. A decent option if Cape Le Grand campgrounds are fully booked and you want direct beach access and local convenience.

What to expect

  • Powered and unpowered sites available (powered from around $46, unpowered from $38, prices vary through seasons so this is a rough estimate)

  • Showers and toilets available onsite; basic food, fishing gear and ice can be purchased from the park shop

  • Right on the beach and close to Wharton and Little Wharton beaches for fishing, swimming and 4WD access

  • Helpful staff they gave us lots of fishing and beach advice

Is it worth it?
Yes — definitely a solid alternative if Cape Le Grand spots are full. Great for fishing, evenings by the bay, and easy beach access. Facilities aren’t flash but they’re functional, and having basic supplies and food available onsite is a nice bonus for a remote stop.
