Whats here?
Show cave with three huge underground chambers filled with crystal formations and stalactites/stalagmites
Fully-guided tours run throughout the day (usually about an hour each)
You actually go inside the cave and follow a path through the chambers
There’s a visitor centre and a cafe on site if you want a drink/food before/after
What to expect
Cool underground scenery — big spaces and formations you don’t see at surface caves
Guides tell you interesting stuff about the cave’s history and the fossils found there
Not a super strenuous walk — but there are steps inside so just be ready for that
Other caves nearby
Mammoth Cave – self-guided walk-through option (my mate said this one was good too)
Lake Cave & Ngilgi Cave are also in the region if you want more cave variety
Good to know
It’s guided — you go with a group and a ranger type guide
I’d recommend booking ahead as tours are around every hour and they can get booked up
The cafe and forest walk around it make it easy to spend extra time if you want
It was $25 per person
Quick verdict
Good one if you’re down for a proper cave experience. Interesting inside and different to just hiking or beach stops — even if you end up doing a couple of caves in the area
