Sandviksletta Beach is a picturesque stretch of coastline on Kvaløya Island that’s perfect for a quick stop to take in dramatic Arctic views. Soft sands, turquoise waters, and distant mountain backdrops make it a must-see for photographers and nature lovers.

Although we didn’t stop ourselves on the way to Sommarøy (we didn’t want to miss the sunset there), locals and travelers alike highly recommend taking a few minutes to walk along the beach and soak up the scenery. The light during late afternoon or sunset can be spectacular.
