Resen is a picturesque town in southwest North Macedonia with just under 9,000 inhabitants. The town of Resen is situated near Lake Prespa and rises 880m above sea level making the climate mild and pleasant. The city's history dates back to Roman times when it was on the famous Via Egnatia road. It has been part of the Ottoman Empire, the Second Bulgarian Empire, the Serbian Empire and more throughout its long and colorful history. Today, Resen is known for its vibrant culture, including its famous ceramics colony. This town is also home to unique and diverse communities of people like the Turks, Albanians, Macedonians, Aromanians, and more. Also notable are the stunning apple orchards within the area that produce their famous apples with a unique taste. All these factors contribute to Presa being a tourist attraction, especially in summer.
