The Old Bushmills Distillery, located in the charming village of Bushmills near the Giant’s Causeway, is one of Northern Ireland’s most iconic attractions and the world’s oldest licensed whiskey distillery. Established in 1608, it’s famous for its handcrafted single malt whiskeys and centuries-old production traditions. Visitors can take guided tours through the working distillery to see how Bushmills whiskey is made, from grain to glass, and enjoy tastings in the cozy bar afterward.

This experience is perfect for whiskey enthusiasts, history lovers, and travelers who enjoy learning about traditional craftsmanship in an authentic setting. Even those who aren’t whiskey drinkers will appreciate the storytelling, atmosphere, and historic charm of the site.

Tickets are required for tours and tastings and can be booked online or at the visitor center, though advance reservations are recommended, especially during summer. The distillery is open year-round, and the tour typically lasts about an hour. Visitors must be over 18 to participate in tastings, and there’s a gift shop on-site for souvenirs and exclusive whiskeys.
