Croagh Patrick, located on the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland, is a famous pilgrimage site and a must do activity for hikers.

The route is a very challenging 4.4 miles roundtrip. While the distance isn't too lengthy, the devil is in the details as this hike boasts over 2,400 feet of elevation gain in a short period of time. That means this trail is STEEP.

If you're planning to hike Croagh Patrick, try to align your visit with clear skies so you can take in epic views of Clew Bay and the rolling countryside that surrounds it.

If you don't plan to do the hike itself, then I suggest heading over to nearby Bertra Beach where you can walk along the water and enjoy views of the mountain and bay.
