The Ring of Kerry is one of Ireland’s most famous scenic drives, circling nearly 180 km of coastline, mountains, and charming villages. Its popularity comes from the sheer variety packed into a single loop - rugged Atlantic views, colorful towns like Kenmare and Sneem, ancient ruins, and photo stops that feel like they belong on a postcard.

This experience is perfect for road trippers, photographers, outdoor lovers, and anyone who wants to soak in Ireland’s landscapes at their own pace. Whether you’re after dramatic cliffs, quiet beaches, or lively pub stops, the Ring of Kerry has a little something for everyone.

Many people start in Killarney and travel counter-clockwise to avoid tour bus traffic. Allow a full day to do it justice, and keep in mind that summer crowds can make roads busy, so early starts pay off.
