The Doo Lough Valley Drive in County Mayo is a hidden gem with breathtaking landscapes and a dark history. This scenic route winds through the stunning Mweelrea Mountains and Sheeffry Hills, following the Doo Lough Lake.

Visitors can stop at various viewpoints to take in the beauty of the valley and learn about the tragic Doolough Tragedy during the Great Famine.

This is a really beautiful area to explore especially if you're heading to or from Westport. We drove from Westport South on our way to Clifden when we explored this area.
