The Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge in County Antrim has been swaying above the ocean for over 250 years, offering a thrilling 20-meter journey between Carrick Island and the mainland. Originally used by fishermen to catch salmon, the bridge now attracts adventurous visitors looking for stunning views of Rathlin Island and Scotland.

When I last visited the rope bridge, it was extremely foggy when I started my short hike out. After spending some time hanging out across the bridge, the fog started to lift and reveal all of the beautiful surroundings!

Keep an eye out for lazy sheep lounging along the way!
