Even though money was low, I had a feeling the city wasn't done rewarding us. We were promised a sweet treat, after all!
So off we went, wandering through random streets, trying to get lost.
Now, I'm not sure if this means we were way too good at getting lost or just incredibly bad at it… but somehow we ended up right back where we started. The exact same spot we'd been busking.
We took it as a sign.
We had wandered enough. Time for a new mission.
Finding more of that sparkling, rose infused lemonade Jacob had gotten earlier in the trip.
We asked what felt like every restaurant on Strada Lipscani if they had our drink. Why didn't we just go back to the original place? Great question. We did.
It was closed. Of course.
Eventually though… we found it.
VICTORY.
We had actually decided to give up our search right before we turned the corner and saw it: a pink restaurant! Pink wallpaper, pink appliances, a chocolate fountain. They were about to close for the night, but we walked in and asked anyway.
Voila.
Naturally, right as we found it, the boys decided they were suddenly starving. And so very very sadly… not for shawarma.
So with our unopened drinks slowly warming in our hands, we set off again. This time in search of something a little more familiar.
McDonald's.
All the best nights end with something sweet. That's not an opinion, that's a fact.
So here's your challenge:
I can't map this one out for you. Partly because mapping it out would take the adventure out of it. Partly because I genuinely have no idea where we went that night...
Pick your craving. Walk until you find it. Let the city surprise you.
(And if you happen to find a pink restaurant with a chocolate fountain and rose lemonade… please tell me immediately.)
Sometimes getting a little lost is exactly how you find what you were looking for.
Even if you do end up walking in circles to get there.
