Message from Graziano e Federica

The Mausoleum of Tamerlane, also known as Gur-e Amir, is the final resting place of the Mongol conqueror Timur, or Tamerlane. Located in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, this architectural gem showcases a unique blend of Islamic and Azeri styles. Built in the 14th century, it houses the tombs of Tamerlane, his family members, and his spiritual master. The blue-domed structure is both simple and grand, with intricate tile work and stunning interior decorations. Legend has it that even Napoleon's attempt to move Tamerlane's tombstone ended in bad luck. Today, visitors can admire this historic site and ponder its mysterious past.
