Parisii Bocca di Leone 88 is a hidden gem and my top recommendation for accommodations in Rome.
Even though it's in a busy tourist area, Parisii Bocca di Leone 88 is on a quiet side street on the second floor of a Renaissance building. And there’s an elevator and air conditioning, a big plus for Roman hotels.
The rooms are a tranquil oasis, with comfortable beds and an amazing marble bathroom with a great shower. The rooms have original art and a soft colour palette.
I loved the thoughtful touches, like the bowl of fresh fruit and delicious Italian cookies waiting for me in my room.
It has a prime location, close to the Spanish Steps, and it is easy to get to via public transportation (plus a short walk).
I also loved that the keys were digital and sent to my phone.
HOW TO GET TO THE HOTEL FROM THE AIRPORT:
Take the Leonardo Express from the airport to the Termini Train Station.
Take metro line A (towards Battistini) to the Spagna Metro stop.
Use the main exit, Vicolo del Bottino, which leads to the Piazza di Spagna.
It's a flat walk to the hotel (under 10 minutes).
