Hole-in-the-Wall is definitely worth planning around low tide. Once the tide drops, you can walk around the point and reach the iconic rock arch, where you'll get one of the best framed views of a sea stack on the Washington coast; especially if you're into photography!

I visited on a cold, misty day, which honestly felt like the perfect Washington experience. There were even surfers out shredding the freezing water, and watching them ride waves with the sea stacks fading into the mist behind them felt almost magical. We spent a while exploring the tide pools and taking photos, but be sure to keep an eye on the tide charts—you don't want to get stranded once the water starts coming back in.
