GRAND BASE -Nagoya Chiyokura- is a surprisingly excellent hotel that's a cut above the typical city accommodation. Despite being in an area that might look a bit rough from the outside (not bad, just different, still very safe), the hotel itself is modern, clean, and surprisingly spacious—especially with its family rooms that are a rare find in Japanese urban hotels. Located perfectly near the science museum (great for the kids) and surrounded by some seriously good restaurants, it offers the ideal balance of comfort and convenience.
