Hohenschwangau Castle is a 19th-century palace in southern Germany, built by King Maximilian II of Bavaria. It was the childhood residence of his son, King Ludwig II of Bavaria. Located next to the famous Neuschwanstein castle, this castle offers a glimpse into the royal family's life with stunning wall paintings depicting medieval German romances. Today, it welcomes over 300,000 visitors annually and remains a favorite summer residence for the Bavarian royal family.
