Innsbruck is a charming city nestled in the Alps. Its colorful old town with the dramatic mountain backdrop is stunning.

Things to Do:

  • Wander the old town

  • See Maximilian’s Golden Roof

  • Climb the tower for a view

  • Browse the Markthalle for food & specialty products.

  • Head up the Nordkettenbahn for a truly commanding view over the city

  • Visit the Alpine Zoo

  • In the winter, you can try bobrafting or bobsledding at the Olympia World track (from ages 10+)

  • Stubai Glacier, skiing & hiking area

Getting to Innsbruck

Drive approximately 1 hour from Garmisch to get here. Make sure to get an Austrian vignette before driving on the Austrian highways.

You can also take the train or FlixBus from Garmisch.

Special Events

Don't miss the Christmas Market in Innsbruck and the Easter Market. During the Christmas season, the Hofgarten also hosts Lumagica, an interactive Christmas light display. Worth a visit!
