Directions

It is a beautiful neoclassical gem tucked in the city center. Built in 1758, it was originally part of a convent founded by Queen Bárbara de Braganza. Inside, you'll find stunning Baroque frescoes by the González Velázquez brothers, as well as the tombs of King Ferdinand VI and Queen Bárbara. A unique feature of this church is the cave-like chapel with a statue of the Virgin Mary, creating a peaceful and almost mystical atmosphere. It's a place full of history and art, perfect for a quiet visit.
