A great hike to do! Not as easy as you think.

Wear proper footwear (trainers or light boots) and dress warmly and bring a waterproof!!! Make sure to pack food and water too.

Incredible views of the city from the top and it's just overall great activity to do!!! You can also add in Salisburys crags if you want a longer walk.

Arthur's Seat used to be an active volcano - if you're interested in the Geology of the area visit Dynamic Earth afterwards!

Arthur's Seat is a stunning ancient volcano located in Edinburgh, Scotland. Rising to about 251 meters, it offers breathtaking views of the city and beyond. People love to hike up its rugged paths, enjoying the fresh air and the sense of adventure. The area is rich in history, with legends tied to King Arthur and tales of knights and battles. It’s a popular spot for both locals and tourists, who often take a break from the bustling city life to soak in the natural beauty. On a clear day, you can see for miles, making it a perfect place for a picnic or just some quiet reflection. Plus, the surrounding parkland adds to the charm, with plenty of green space to explore.
